Iverna Tompkins
Iverna Tompkins grew up in a preacher’s home. She attended Bible college and worked in both business and church ministries. She served as a pastor, but her primary gift to the body of Christ was as a teacher. She delivers the Word in a prophetic style that has been a blessing to thousands.
She has written thirteen books on subjects that appeal to many. Three of these books are still in print: “If it Please the King,” “The Ravished Heart,” and “Advancing in the Prophetic.”
In 1985, she founded and directed Scottsdale Christian Training Center for mentoring pastors, leaders, and their spouses in Scottsdale, Arizona. In less than ten years, she had trained hundreds of leaders from the US and abroad. She was also co-founder of Women of the Word Conference, Headquarters in Montreat, North Carolina.
Iverna was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree from Sweetwater Bible College in 1989. She presently serves as Pastor Emeritus at Church for the Nations in Phoenix, Arizona. Although Iverna no longer travels, she continues to minister locally.
