Jeanne Gloria Sherrod was born in McAlester, Oklahoma on January 24, 1944. Jeanne was a PK, daughter of Assemblies of God ministers Rev. Claude and Eva Sherrod. She married a Church of God evangelist, Jack Barron. Jeanne and Jack served as evangelists and  pastored Assemblies of God churches in Clinton, Oklahoma; Ringling, Oklahoma; Muldrow, Oklahoma; Andrews, Texas; Howe, Oklahoma and, several other cities.

Jeanne was a multi-talented leader and loved working with youth and children and hosting camps. Jeanne was a supportive pastor’s wife and a generous and loving friend to many.

She passed to her eternal reward in Fort Smith, AR on May 15, 2007.
