
Robert "Bob" Revell
Robert Eugene (Bob) Revell was born in Boonsboro, MD on November 7, 1924 and left school at age 17 to run the family farm.
Bob married Ruth Stottlemeyer in 1950 and they worked together to lead deaf churches in Norfolk, VA and later in Los Angeles, CA. In 1955 they moved to Fredericksburg, VA to establish the Highway Assembly of God, which they led for 35 years. While building the church community, Bob worked at Mary Washington College, starting as an electrician and retiring as head of Buildings and Grounds. In 1990 Bob and Ruth retired to the Potomac Park Conference Center, where Bob cared for Ruth during a series of health challenges, often filling in for absent pastors in area churches. He counseled inmates in local jails and prisons through New Hope Ministries, and taught Sunday School at Life House Bethel until three weeks before his death.
Brother Revelll passed to his eternal reward on passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He had reached his ninety-first year. He was an outstanding preacher and poet who made an impact on all who knew him.
