John Calvin Durham was born April 5, 1971. His parents were Dr. Calvin and Beverly Durham. He lived all of his life in a pastor's home.

John was called into the ministry in 1991 at a youth camp in Colorado. John graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of University with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts.

He served as youth pastors in Searcy, Arkansas and Galena, Kansas. He served as lead pastor at First Assemblyh of God in Laverne, Texas and Glad Tidings Assembly in Houston. At Glad Tidings, he served as associate pastor to his father and was elected to succeed him when the senior Durham retired from pastoral ministry.

John faced a lot of battles in life, but approached them all with the same philosophy . . . but God. His ministry reflected a biblical lifestyle and touched hundred. He passed away September 1, 2018 from a rare illness. He left us much too soon.
