Carey Robertson served his country in both the Army and the Navy. He distinguished himself as a Navy Chaplain. Carey pastored several powerful churches in Georgia, Louisiana, Florida and Alabama.

For eight years he served as the senior associate at the Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida. He brought the steady hand of experience and stability to the church during the spiritual awakening known to the world as the Brownsville Revival
