Dueward Wimberly
Dr. Dueward S. Wimberly was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God. He served faithfully, with integrity and compassion as evangelist, pastor, teacher, and counselor over a span of 53 years. All those who were blessed to be under Dueward's ministry knew him to have a powerful, dynamic, and anointed gift of delivering God's Word.
Dueward and his wife, Sharon, treasured their time together and lived a happy, fulfilled life, realizing there was no greater calling and privilege than to be partners together in the ministry. He also cherished the time spent with his two sons and daughter, and was blessed to be Papa to four grandchildren! One of the greatest influences on Dueward's life was his mother, who served God through "thick and thin", raising her family and covering them with her prayers until she went to be with the Lord.
Dueward was a graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University, also obtained Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance. He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology in Houston, TX. While pastoring Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Texas City, Dueward was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He entered his Heavenly home on January 20, 2010.
