Harry Sewell is the son of Harrison Sewell. Even as a child traveling with his parents and siblings Harry was a singer and assisted his dad in tent revivals and crusades across the south, especially in Texas.

The elder Sewell started Family Cathedral in 1966 and Harry worked with him from the beginning. For many years Harry served the church in a volunteer capacity, teaching children's Sunday School, leading in worship, teaching the students and even mowing the lawn.

In 1993 Pastor Harry left his career with EDS to follow God's call on his life to full time ministry at Family Cathedral.  Since that time God has continued to bless Family Cathedral and has provided a new sanctuary, gymnasium, charter school, daycare, classrooms and offices.  Under his leadership, Family Cathedral has also grown to be a pillar in the Mesquite community. 

In addition to his role at Family Cathedral, Pastor Sewell currently serves on the board for Adult/Teen Challenge. Sewell has also worked in missions, Bible schools, evangelism in South America.
