Joann Newburn was born in Poteau, Oklahoma on August 17, 1931. She grew up in a preachers’s home and graduated from Poteau High School.

Joann was the faithful companion and ministry partner of Rev. Armon Newburn. The Newburns spent 54 years in the ministry serving the Oklahoma Assemblies of God as a pastor, state youth director and district superintendent.

Sister Newburn went to be with Jesus and her precious Armon who preceded her in death on May 6, 2014.
