Robert D Parker was a WWII veteran who returned from the battlefield a decorated hero (Bronze Star and Purple Heart) and also an alcoholic.  Through the faithful prayers of his wife he was led to the Lord and experienced the miracle of salvation.  Baptized in the Holy Spirit and responding to the call to minister, he began preaching on street corners.  Even the law enforcement encouraged his preaching in public as they saw the miracle of salvation displayed in his life.

Taking over a small work in Laurens, SC known as the Revival Center, he pastored the church for 43 years and brought it into the Assemblies of God.  His ministry had a great impact on countless lives and families and the reverberations of his obedience to the call of God still is seen today.  

Brother Parker went to be with Jesus on October 21, 2008. He was 91 years of age.
