John Kelly Norvell, Jr. was born August 3, 1952 in Aransas Pass, Texas. While still in his teams he heard God's audible voice to "Preach, Preach, Preach."

John was a faithful minister in the Pentecostal Church of God. He graduated from Southern Bible College in Houston. Norvell was an evangelist and pastored in Kansas City, Kansas and Rockport, Texas. He served the denomination as South Texas Bishop, Assistant National Bishop and World Missions Director. He was a noted camp meeting, convention and council speaker.

Brother Norvell passed unexpectedly and much too young on August 20, 2011.
